Lulu isn’t here to be elegant. Lulu is here to party.

A vibrant blur of pink-and-grey feathers, she’s the kind of bird who turns every day into a comedy show, a gymnastic routine and a social gathering - all at once. Where others perch politely, Lulu cartwheels. Where others preen in silence, Lulu sings at full volume while dangling upside down from a curtain rod. She is the embodiment of joy… with a dash of chaos.

Her approach to life is simple:

• Be curious

• Be loud

• Be upside down as often as possible

Gum leaves? Tasted, chewed and then used as accessories. Water bowls? Ideal for splashing. Human shoulders? Excellent launch pads. Lulu treats every surface as a potential playground and every passing friend - avian or otherwise - as someone to definitely overshare her excitement with.

Despite her antics, she’s deeply social and incredibly affectionate. Galahs like Lulu form lifelong bonds, and she’s not shy about expressing her fondness. Expect mutual preening, enthusiastic head bobs and long, emotional conversations about absolutely nothing.

This portrait captures Lulu in a rare moment of calm… or possibly between stunts. Her eyes sparkle with mischief. Her crest stands half-raised in anticipation. And the floral backdrop? Perfectly lovely, though she’d prefer it came with a perch and something mildly destructible.
